The
Cause for Canonization of Blessed Ivan Merz
in the Philippines was established on March 19, 2008, together with the
appointment of Dave Ceasar
F. Dela
Cruz, a professional teacher and religious educator, as vice postulator.
The BLESSED IVAN MERZ CENTER (Office and Oratory of the Sacred Relics), which is located at Araneta Avenue, Quezon City, is an initiative of the vice postulator, volunteers and scholars to answer the need for a center to house the various apostolates of the Cause in the country and gather the growing number of devotees of Blessed Ivan Merz.
The Office caters to the information and communication of the Cause, and the spiritual needs of the devotees and people around the area through spiritual accompaniment.
The Oratory houses the sacred relics of Blessed Ivan Merz so that people, especially the youth, may venerate him. Other sacred relics are also exposed in the oratory, with special themes every liturgical season, through the effort of the Tour of Sacred Relics. It is also available for small-group prayer meetings or recollections.
